ARROW 460-GRANTURISMO Making its debut at MYS 2016, the first pre-production 14.17m Arrow460-Granturismo, named Mercedes, captured substantial interest from visitors and media alike. The Arrow460-Granturismo was created in collaboration with Silver Arrow Marine, Baltic Yachts and Mercedes-Benz Style. It aims to introduce to the yachting world the same calibre of design, materials and technology for which Mercedes-Benz is renowned, ditching traditional layouts and framework in a fresh interpretation of the luxury motor yacht. Inside and out, the Arrow460-Granturismo is unmistakably part of the Mercedes-Benz family. The yacht’s interior is refined and finely crafted, with flexible space that can be adapted to the occasion – for day trips or staying on board overnight. Baltic Yachts, whose reassuring company tagline is: ‘Lighter, faster, stiffer, together’, is based in Jakobstad, on Finland’s west coast. For 40 years the company has specialised in advanced carbon-composite construction and has a reputation for manufacturing some of the world’s most acclaimed carbon-composite superyachts. During its four-year development, every component of the Arrow460 was honed to perfection. From the ‘plug and play’ opening windows and the double-curvature glazing to the 3D timber veneer panelling, integrated electronics architecture and numerous hydraulics systems, every detail represents innovation in the yachting realm. Orders for the €2.5 million (plus taxes) Arrow460 are already being negotiated and the first hulls will likely be commissioned in the coming months.
