Another covetable craft scheduled to debut in Cannes in September, this time from a marque with 174 years’ heritage, is the Riva 100 Corsaro, already destined to become an instant classic. Positioned as the brand’s new flybridge yacht, the Riva 100 Corsaro is the product of a collaboration between Ferretti designer Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta of Officina Italiana Design, which exclusively pens the Riva fleet. “Riva is back in the flybridge segment as a leader after creating extraordinary models that have conquered even the most demanding customers,” says Stefano de Vivo, Ferretti Group’s chief commercial officer, announcing that the first hull has been sold to an Asian client and is close to completion at the La Spezia facility in Italy before its grand reveal, no doubt with all the customary Italian fanfare and celebration, in Cannes. “The Riva 100 Corsaro has already impressed our owners with its incredible design and exquisitely stylish solutions. The wide-body master stateroom, for example, is worthy of a megayacht that offers owners a large private area on the main deck. Then there are the four lower-deck suites and the large fully customisable sundeck.” The Corsaro has a silhouette inspired by the tip of an arrow, resulting in a sporty, streamlined profile. Glazing punctuates the hull and the superstructure, for statement appeal as well as panoramic views for its guests: they are said to be the largest windows on any vessel of this size. A new operating system patented by Ferretti allows the garage door to open and tilt down onto the beach area, creating a large beach club at water level.
